Predator
In water, penguins face the danger of being eaten by leopard seals, fur seals, sea lions, sharks, or killer whales. On land, they fear being eaten by foxes, snakes, feral dogs, cats, and stoats. Some predators don’t even eat fully developed penguins, they even eat the eggs an example of some is Antarctic skuas, sheathbills, and giant petrels. Did you know that gulls and ibises eat around 40% of African penguin eggs? Over the years, penguins have developed ways to protect themselves from their predators.
