Penguins are the one of world’s favorite flightless bird and the most interesting. There are 17 different species of penguins existing today and about 40 species of extinct penguins. Some species of penguins are endangered because of oil spills, water pollution, and over harvesting of ocean fish. Penguins live in the southern hemisphere and mostly eat krill, squid, or fish. Penguins can walk faster than humans and spend about half of their life in water. Us humams study penguins and sometimes keep them in captivity.Their closes relatives are thealbatrosses, petrels and shearwaters.
